Shuttle tracking

Every shuttle, traced

The shuttle is a few centimetres of feathers moving faster than anything else in sport. Sensei runs TrackNetV3, an open-source shuttle-tracking network, on the iPhone itself with Core ML to find it in every frame, then draws the flight back onto your video.

  • Glowing tracer drawn on your own footage
  • Smash, clear, drop, net shot, drive, lift and serve
  • Rallies found and split automatically

Smash speed

Clock it. Beat it.

Sensei maps the court, follows the shuttle off the racket and turns pixels into meters per second. It's an estimate from one camera, so it tells you how sure it is. Film at 120 fps and the readings are verified.

  • Every smash measured, km/h or mph
  • Uncertain readings are marked, not hidden
  • Top smash charted match after match

Line calls

In, out, or too close

Every landing is placed on a real court map and called against the singles or doubles lines. A single camera has a margin of error, wider at the far end, so when a landing sits inside that margin Sensei says “Too close” and leaves it to you.

Auto scoring

The score keeps itself

Sensei splits the video into rallies, works out who won each one and applies the 21-point rules, including deuce, the 30-point cap, servers and service courts. Filming live, the score sits on your Lock Screen with +1 and undo buttons.

  • Singles or doubles detected from the video
  • Lock Screen and Dynamic Island scoreboard
  • Fix one point, the whole match re-scores

Privacy

Your games never leave your phone

Club footage shows faces, kids, venues. So Badminton Sensei was built to need none of the internet: every frame is analysed on the iPhone itself. Read the short, plain privacy policy.

  • Analysed on your iPhone

Core ML and Apple Vision do the work on the phone in your hand.

  • No account, no server

Nothing to sign up for and nowhere for your videos to be sent.

  • No ads, no tracking

No analytics or advertising SDKs. The App Store label is “Data Not Collected”.

  • Works with no signal

Basement hall, school gym, holiday court: it doesn't need the internet.

Frequently asked questions

Is Badminton Sensei really free?

Yes. Every feature is included for every match, with no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads.

What do I need to use it?

An iPhone running iOS 26 or later. For live filming, something to prop the phone on behind a baseline, a few feet up, with the whole court in view. You can also import videos you've already filmed.

Does it work for doubles?

Yes. Sensei detects singles or doubles from the number of players in the video, applies the right court lines and serving rules, and lets you switch the format with one tap if it guessed wrong.

Does it upload my videos?

No. All analysis runs on your iPhone with Core ML and Apple Vision. The app has no account and no server, and makes no network requests.

How accurate are the speeds and line calls?

They are estimates from a single phone camera, and the app shows how sure it is. Smash speeds filmed at 120 fps are verified; landings too close to a line to call are marked “Too close” instead of guessed.

Is there an Android or web version?

No. Badminton Sensei is iPhone only. The free tools on this website work in any browser, though.

When can I download it?

Badminton Sensei is coming soon to the App Store. The download page will link to it as soon as it's live.

Stop guessing. Start seeing.
