The licence
Badminton Sensei is published by IS Browser LLC (“we”, “us”) and is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add to that agreement. If anything here conflicts with it, the standard EULA applies.
The app is free, with no in-app purchases in this version.
Estimates, not officiating
Shuttle tracking, shot recognition, speeds, line calls and scores are estimates made from a single phone camera. They can be wrong, and the app shows uncertainty and labels calls it cannot make confidently as “Too close”. Badminton Sensei is for practice, coaching and fun. It is not intended for official match officiating, and its results should not decide competitive outcomes, bets or anything with real consequences.
Filming people
You are responsible for what you film and share. Get the consent of the people you film, and of a parent or guardian for children, and follow the rules of your club or venue and the law where you play. The app can blur or replace faces before you share, but it is up to you to check what you send.
Play safely
Place your iPhone and any tripod where players cannot run into them or hit them with a shuttle or racket. We are not responsible for damage to your device while filming. The filming setup guide shows safe positions.
Your content
Your videos, stats and highlights belong to you and stay on your iPhone. We do not receive them. See the privacy policy.
Third-party components
The app uses the TrackNetV3 shuttle-tracking model, used under the MIT licence. Full acknowledgements are in the app.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
